Age
The most important factor which will influence your playground design will be he age group of the children you are building the playground for. If your playground design is for 8-14 year olds, for example, then large climbing frames and assault courses etc may be perfectly suitable and provide a fun outlet for the kids, but if you tried to put that equipment in a playground for 2-5 year olds then you’d quickly run into problems.
If you are creating a playground design for a mixed age group, however, then you will need to think about splitting off the space so that all ages are catered for and kept safe at all times. There really is no room for error when it comes to ensuring the safety of children in your playground.
Space
The amount of space which is available is also going to have a big impact on the playground design you come up with. Some equipment is just too large and requires too much space that it would not fit into a small playground, so you have to look at the space very carefully before making any purchases.
