We all know that there is a big different in style between one pushchair and the next, but will spending more on a good make such as Britax or Chicco really make a difference to your child?
Ultimately, what you spend on pushchairs will indeed have a big effect on how easy they are to use, how effectively they will accommodate your child both today and as they grow, and even how safe and protected your child is likely to be.
Much like car seats will vary greatly in terms of how safe they keep your child and even how long you can use them for before you have to switch to something bigger, pushchairs can also vary greatly from one to the next in all manner of ways. Certain prams will be very clunky and will not easily fold down, making it far harder for you to manoeuvre in certain spaces and far harder for you to avoid causing an obstruction in many of the places that you visit. Cheaper, less focussed prams will also leave you unable to fold up your pram whilst you hold your child, something that can either lead to great danger or simply great frustration.
A more expensive pushchair is also likely to end up being more lightweight, making it far easier for you to use, whilst others may also allow your child to lie flat to make it easier for them to sleep whilst you are on the move.
Whilst it may seem crazy to pay huge amounts for prams or car seats that will only be used for a very short time, the more you spend, the longer you will actually be able to the product for and therefore the lower prices of less effective seats and prams may actually be rather misleading.
